Our History​
LCA was founded in the year 2000 by Ravi Gill to meet students’ need for quality, flexibility and affordability in education.

The College initially focussed on professional accountancy education, quickly becoming one of the leading ACCA colleges in London, building a reputation for the highest quality lecturers.

In 2006 LCA became the first private college to receive the Queens Award for Enterprise.

By 2007 the success of professional courses drove a demand for similar provision in the undergraduate and postgraduate arenas. LCA partnered Anglia Ruskin University as the accrediting body and launched a range of business related degrees from September 2007.

Growing exponentially towards 5,000 students originating from over 100 countries, LCA expanded its premises with a new campus at Tabard Street, opened by Boris Johnson in 2008.

In 2010 LCA received an unprecedented second Queens Award for Enterprise, recognising the success and growth of the organisation.

At this time LCA took the decision to consolidate provision in state of the art new premises right in the heart of London. The new Charterhouse Campus took nearly a year to prepare and offers excellent facilities in a business environment. The Campus was formally opened in June 2011 by Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP, Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills.

LCA joined UCAS in early 2011, and later that year had its undergraduate programmes recognised by the Student Loan Company to allow eligible UK and EU students’ access to finance to support their education.
